Chap Chap Records, Japan, CD release of Chasing the Sun CPCD-018, capturing the trio of Sabu Toyozumi, Simon Tan, and Rick Countryman live in the Philippines in December 2018.  Tracks 2 – 5 comprised the vinyl edition, CPLP-001, released in 2019.  2 additional tracks are live duo recordings from earlier that week.  Toyozumi and Countryman have produced many recordings recently, but this, from Dec 12^th, 2018, is the most recent in the familiar sax-bass-drums format, performing classic free jazz.  Sabu proclaimed it a “great performance” and a “great evening!”  His passion and creative drive can be heard and felt continuously through this music.
